Balsamic Strawberries ; A light, sweet snack


Seems like an odd combo at first. Balsamic Vinegar makes the strawberries sweeter than ever. This is a fast dessert which serves 4. However it can be made ahead a day. The sauce will be come syrup like.

Keep Balsamic Strawberries on hand for the mid afternoon or late night snack attack. Balsamic Strawberries would also be great in a little lunchbox container to take to the office or school.

Healthy, sweet dessert which is refined sugar free, dairy free and gluten free (so guilt free too!).



2 x punnets strawberries (washed)

4 tsp balsamic vinegar

12 x mint leaves


  1. Remove the leafy tops from the strawberries, cut in half and portion into 4 glass jars
  2. Add 1 tsp balsamic vinegar to each glass jar
  3. Add sliced mint to each jar
  4. Leave to sit for at least 10 minutes, tip the jar out and serve with the sauce. Top with fresh mint leaves if feeling jazzy.

Tip: I use mason jars as I find the seal is best for keeping food fresh for longer.
